In a more helpful post - seeing as you like the wobbly, Transformers-having-an-epileptic-fit type festival music search for the following artists:

16 bit
Excision
Downlink
Knife Party
Doctor P
12th Planet
Antiserum ("Trap")
Trolley Snatcha

All the above artists apart from Trolley Snatcha are banned from my computer

If you want to listen to true dubstep, research Digital Mystikz (DMZ / Coki / Mala) and get a bit of history of the music.

Here is a mix I did last year. Deep dubstep. The tracklist will point you in the direction of artists from the deeper side of things...

Your Perception June 2013 Dubstep Mix - Dubstep Mixes

You have to grow a beard and wear skinny leg jeans or chinos to be edgy. I'm just unashamedly a bit of a purist (wanker?) when it comes to electronica. It was the same with Drum & Bass in early 2000's when wobble infested that sound... "clownstep". Sounded like sideshow music. Drove me away from the music and MC'ing, so started listening to other music.

Still not as bad as calling Jay-Z/Kanye West rappers.
