Default Alpine I-Personalize - Custom Backgrounds

For those who are lucky enough to have an Alpine IVA-D310E, IVA-W200E or IVA-D100E pulse touch mobile media station you may find this interesting.

I wanted a custom wallpaper for my IVA-D310E (other than the ones that are available on the Alpine I-Personalize web site), so I searched the web & came up with the following.

http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/4/200512.html is a hi-fi forum with a discussion on custom wallpapers for these units, in which one of the members (Daniel) has managed to crack the code to be able to make the custom wallpapers.

From reading what he has to say, he has plans to make a working web service where you can create your own, but until he gets that working his own personal site http://www.pride-rock.com/apn/ has some examples of the custom wallpapers that he has made so far & you are also able to submit your own requested wallpaper image.

Of course it goes without saying that he accepts no responsibility of these wallpapers stuff up your system etc, etc... but I used one on mine without any problems.

Narchi - I agree, the guy must be an absolute genius.

NVRENUF - The IVA-D310E is awesome & so easy to use, expensive but worth it

Hi_VoLtAgE - I thought the Sti logo would be a hit on here - lol

Here's a pic of the "livin loud" background on my unit.

as mentioned in their forum, it must be hard to have to line the images up so they dont conflict with the touch screen buttons.

the IVA-W200E sticks out about 2.5cm out from the wall on the display shelf at alberts which put me off a bit, and they said that yes thats how it looks in ya car. well after i had it installed it look awesome, it sticks out only a few mm's, even they were supprised.

Yeah, it is a shame that most of the image is covered up by the "on screen display", but it is nice to be able to customize your own screen to suit what you actually want & not to have the same thing as everyone else. Makes you wonder why Alpine don't just have that sort of service available doesn't it??

I'm trying to find a decent background of my own at the moment that doesn't get covered up. Now if someone could just work out how to customise all the on screen display stuff, then that would be AWESOME!!!
