Enkei STI 18 x 7.5 +55 not bad for stockers.

Looks awesome for stockers mate...I might have to copy that framing and go take a shot of my rims...

Hope that helps!
My brain hurts! lol
So, the larger the +offset the further out the rim sticks, or ?
The rims are probably a set of RSGT's, 18x7.5 offset if I remember right is +42?
And yeah, I only have the standard brakes/calipers.

Hehe, no mate! The smaller the offset the more room between the calliper and the rim spoke. For example with my rims, +38 wouldnt clear my Brembo callipers, but +35 there is around a 0.5cm gap. With RSGT, because the spoke has a convex shape, you might find that +42 is ok with your callipers...cant see +38 being an issue at all with a 7.5 width!

Not true!...It depends upon the inside shape of the rim spokes. For example, a standard 17 x 8 STI rim (114.3) has an offset of +53 and easily clears Brembos. A standard 100 PCD STi 17 x 7.5 rim has an offset of +53 and also easily clears Brembos as do aftermarket Compomotive MO's with +51.
Aftermarket OZ 18 x 8 (114.3) with an offset of +52 easily clear Brembos yet Enkei ES Tarmac with +48 offset require a 2mm spacer.

This website always comes in handy.

Keep in mind when calculating the offset it's in reference to the wheel face not the entire rim.

This calculator gives some visual reference.

Quick question:
Was looking at getting some Work Emotion XD9's on my GC8. They are 18x8.0 with an offset of +45.

I am at stock height and wondering if they are going to cause some scrubbage issues?

Factory is 16 x 7 +53 i believe for the GC8's (someone tell me otherwise if im wrong)

so by using the calculator above you lose 5mm clearance to the strut and gain 21mm on the outside.

I agree! I did state that in an earlier post...the rim and spoke design will ultimately determine if it will clear the calliper!
