Just don't do it when they are hot and use some crc or anti seize. Alloy nuts tend to fuck their threads when hot and taken on and off

What tyres will fit without rubbing the strut or guard - 215/225?

they'll all rub with hard cornering and weight in the back... you WILL have to roll guards if you want to drive hard... 215's will fit comfortably, 225's might be pushing it

It has rolled guards so thats not an issue.

Being told if I go 215's they will need to be stretched - dont want to do that.

a 215 tyre (21.5cm wide or 8.464 inches) will be hardly stretched on a 8.5inch wide rim. It's nearly the perfect fit. It will come down to the brand of tyres though (sidewall profile) as to how 'stretched' it will look. I would say, it won't look 'that' stretched. Westy will be able to tell you all this though
