dba Brakes at standard level
Default DBA Choose Your Stopping Power - Subaru Liberty GT

The Subaru Liberty GT has long been a popular choice for those looking for an alternative to Subaru’s all-out performance machine, the WRX. The Liberty GT sports sleek, more understated styling compared to the WRX as well as increased levels of comfort and practicality (especially in its wagon body style). However, it does share with the WRX its symmetrical AWD system and 2.5L turbocharged boxer-4 (post-facelift) putting out a healthy 184kW with plenty of room for more. It’s no wonder why the Liberty GT has earnt its reputation as a “wolf in sheep’s clothing”.

When it comes time to replace your brake rotors you can’t afford to skimp on quality. Whether your existing rotors are on their last legs or you’re looking to upgrade your brakes to compliment more power or a more aggressive driving style, DBA has the perfect option to suit your Liberty GT.

If it’s serious braking performance you want, we recommend our two-piece DBA Club Spec Road & Race 5000 Series T3 slotted front rotors.

Race 5000 Series T3 slotted rotors.

The 5000 Series DBA Brake Rotors incorporate Alumalite hats made from 6061-T6 Aeronautical grade aluminium. The Alumalite hat reduces unsprung weight for improved suspension and handling performance as well as allowing uniform expansion of the disc rotor during high performance use.

DBA's 5000 T3 slot design 'sports' the same benefits as the 4000 Series except for one major structural advancement, two-piece design.

Here’s just a few reasons we believe the DBA Club Spec Road & Race 5000 Series T3 slotted rotors are the perfect performance replacement rotor for your Subaru Liberty GT:

T3 Slot 48 precision CNC machined slots
Advantage: Tri-Symmetrical curve slots dampens the vibration harmonics or noise.
Benefit: A quieter, responsive and smoother brake pedal feel.

Kangaroo Paw – 144 diamond and tear drop pillar ventilation system
Advantage: Increased surface area resulting in greater heat dissipation.
Benefit: Minimises brake fade and increases braking effectiveness.

XG150 High Carbon Alloyed Iron
Advantage: An increase in thermal capacity property allows the rotor to handle constant extremes of heat over extended periods of time.
Benefit: Minimises warping and cracking and prolongs the service life of the rotor.

Thermographic Temperature Monitoring
Advantage: Heat paint markings change colour at specific temperature thresholds.
Benefit: Allows the driver to monitor rotor fatigue and decide on rotor replacement and to assist resellers with warranty claims.

Paint protection on non-friction areas
Advantage: Reduces corrosion, enhances appearance.
Benefit: Stops any unsightly rust formation.
