So, theres no nead for me to put the cats back on ?
Maybe just a quieter back box ?
What will be involved when it goes over the pits ?
I was just trying to help it to get through whatever tests they do on it tbh.
Currently running :
Jdm 2.5 bottom end (short motor)with my version 5 heads fitted
Front mount intercooler
3 bolt wrapped Headers & up-pipe
Fully decatted 3" turbo back exhaust
Walbro uprated fuelpump
Plus a few choice uprated ancilarys (oil pump etc)
Currently running approx 380bhp and 375 ftlbs of torque
There are no body modifications to the car and the suspension has not been lowered.
Do you think this will be ok ?
As for the power fc,
If i was going to go for an uprated ecu i would deffo go for the Motec or the Autronic. I know they are more expensive but i might as well have the other benefits that they offer i,e, Launch control , Antilag , Switchable maps etc
As it happens, apparently they are currently developing the same things to be run with the Ecutec.
Sorry for all the questions but i dont want to get it over there and end up having to start pulling it to bits just to get it on the rd.
Thanks

Like MrTwo said, you have to have a Cat Conv in the system, they will notice the emissions and that one isn't fitted.

I would also be surprised if they didn't notice an EJ25 in a car plated for an EJ20, this may require you get certification from an engineer (this is not as bad as it sounds).

The fact that it a personal import may be a factor in the way they view it (they may be more lenient, or because it's non-standard go the other way).

Look here http://www.dpi.wa.gov.au/licensing/1213.asp

Thanks for that 97RA
I was supplied with an engineers report when i had the new ej25 installed (for insurance purposes) so hopefully that might be good enough.
Might just throw in a sports cat front downpipe and get my mapper to give it a tickle before it gets sent. Then at least i could leave it alone for a while and see how it goes on the aussie fuel.

Thats a very good idea Doddsy. I would get the cat put into the middle pipe if I were you. It does not have to be in the downpipe to pass the pits.

What I also suggest is get your Tuner to map your STI on BP RON 98 (BP Ultimate) fuel as thats the highest octane fuel we get here in WA. Its better than any other brand from any other fuel company. 99.9% of tuned Subi's here on the forums would use it.
I would be surprised if the BP Ultimate fuel formula is different in the UK compared to Oz too.

Thanks for that.
It will be easyer to change the centre cat than the downpipe.
Only ever run the car on bp ultimate once and it ran like a bag of sh1t until i got it flushed through with a few tank fulls of shell v-power (optimax)
But it was then and is now mapped for shell. Will get it sorted before i send her over.
Thanks again.
