Found this out with the HSD's, changing from 8 to 3 clicks made most roads much easier and less bouncy.
You won't notice how rough the roads are, after a while you just get focused on how much better the car hugs the road

Default springs that come with the set. Mao put them in the middle setting, which I think was 6/12?

Ive now got it at 4/12 Front and 6/12 Rear - I need to put the Rear to 4 and I think that will fix it all.

Yeah I might do that.

Got my all my perrin goodies going in tommorrow and rear brakes. Should then be able to set the HSD's in the rear to not so stiff and should retain the stiffness from the new swaybar and hd links.

IMO the DMSs have a harsher ride than the STDs, as I have used the DMSs, STDs and Ohlins on my evo. The Ohlins were the most stiff. All three coilies handled great when paired together with the Bridgestone REs.

Jester, as you do quite a bit of skid pans, ask one of the boys to take you for a spin with the STDs on and you will understand what I mean in terms of the ride.

Setting to 4/12 and 4/12 should be that tad more comfortable but any softer won't be recommended, defeats the purpose coilovers. You are more than welcome to drop by anythime as always and will be glad to set it up for you and log some comparisons between settings.

Loved your car at 8/12 and 6/12. The car stuck to the corners well and truely. But if you want the more comfort then 4/12 and 4/12 as SyncSubaru suggested will be ok, but what a waste of the cornering ability your car has now.

Also, you are more than welcome to pop by anytime and I will be glad to set up the dampening to your liking.

Hi Dave and Kato,

Hope all is well. Spring rates are 9 and 7kgmm, a tad stiffer than the R1s as the guys opted for the R5s.

Personally, I find them a lil soft for full on track use but still a good medium for the street and occasional track work with stiffer dampening adjustment.

Soksta, you have my respect. You know your coilies very well and will be able to put the HSDs to full use.
