SyncSubaru 14-08-2011 10:55 PM

Mao - Am i correct in guessing it is optimal to do these things when the coilovers are installed?

mao 14-08-2011 11:00 PM

Hey dude,

How's your weekend?

Suspension tuning is always something that the individual has to go out and have a feel for it.
Every driver is different and I can give you a clear example --- Rob from Maximum drove just a avg Group N rally car and won the Aust Rally some years back --- so basically, the actual vehicle coupled with the individual's driving style, will determine what whether he wants to stiffen the car suspension up whether it is front or rear, and how he likes to take his corners.

So basically, if you were installing the coilovers, my suggestion is for you to get a feel for the car first and then come back and decide which aspects of the rex's suspension you want to improve on.

Regards,
Mao

great timing, was thinking of these for my next upgrades.

very interested in a full kit.

do you also have the camber bolts?

cheers

Deviouskim 15-08-2011 12:23 AM

Oh man.... why did I have to see this? =(

Quick question, when doing the sway bar upgrades, is it necessary to have to do the linkages also?

mao 15-08-2011 02:55 AM

Have seen standard ones break, but then again case to case, so it is your call.

Munsie 16-08-2011 06:19 PM

Gday Mao, wondering if you also do the Roll centre/bump steer, cheers

wrxr2d2 16-08-2011 06:53 PM

Oh Damn Mao, luckily I read the first post again. I was all excited about the deal you were offering. Here is me thinking, sway bar, links, alk, roll center and diff upgrade and maybe the steering bushes and getting a great deal at that, then read for GD and GC's only. Unfortunately for me i have a GR, bugga, bugga. Any special deal on GR's coming up.
Just a quick question if I bought the sway bars and link separately it comes to $800 installed, not the special price of $850 if I combine them together.
Would like a price for GR if you can get it.
Cheers

mao 16-08-2011 07:40 PM

Yes will post that up once I sort out the pricing tomorrow.
Good call as well, Whiteline and Red Ranger do quite a bit ofperformance parts and I will try my best to update and post prices for all these fantastic Oz products here on this thread.

Will get some pricing up for the GR and GH models asap. Thanks for the heads up.

I have had multiple requests for Liberty/Legacy parts and I do apologise for leaving these guys out. Have edited first post and will include parts for these well known, but often left out Subaru warriors, in my all my future posts.
***** P/s: 4-wheel handling-enhanced alignment is available and is charged at $120. (Note: This is not a Bob-Jane style wheel alignment)
what is involved in this alignment? the other day, i switched the 2 front rims to the back and now my aligment is off... so i guess i will need an alignment again soon, i just got one like a month ago :(

im just guessing it involves tuning suspension parts? how often is it recommended before another alignment?

thanks mao

mitchwnz 18-08-2011 12:15 PM

Mao, did you get my email?

mao 18-08-2011 03:00 PM

Didnt get the email dude.
Mao, did you get my email?
Ya, because the wear patterns on the tyres both front and back are different, so alignment goes off.

FFFFFUUUUUUU... I need a spare $850 for front & rear swaybars with alloy links!

Mao, do you supply/fit shifter bushings for the GC Impreza? The front and rear bushings on mine are shot so the shifter has a good 30mm of lateral play in it. Nobody likes a floppy knob, I want mine nice and crisp again :D

mao 01-09-2011 10:53 PM

Yes we can supply and fit them. Will send you a PM tmr on pricing.
