Figured i'd make a thread about the 2 wheelers. I hope its ok.

Stoner had a horrible start last night but an awesome race! Coming from dead last after the 1st corner to 5th. Good effort.

Was interesting to hear the commentators comments last night that the theory floating around at the moment as to why the Duc's are suffering is that they are just to dam stiff. Without a bit of give there is just no warning that it's going break away.

Guess it just goes to show that there is a limit to carbon fibre you can cope with ( they are the only ones with a carbon fibre frame )

Its all in the way the carbon frame is ribbed and strengthened though. They can make them flex if need be. Carbon will flex more that steel.

I do agree its good to see the ducs back on pace though!

JB had some interesting comments on the new Ohlins forks being run (bigger stiffer ones) noting that they had similar issues to the Duke until they made some chassis changes. They didnt hit the race bike until all was sorted....unlike Ducati. Something to be said there for how the quality of team management and technical support can make the difference...along with a rider with an excellent technical understanding who can provide the feedback.

Will be interesting to see which team Stoner finishes up with for next season......and valentino for that matter...

i just read an article on perth now about the death, the first couple of paragraphs in the article were about how well the other riders did, i thought i was incredibly disrespectful to the poor guy that just died
