No different to how people say Vettel 2 different ways :)
Good call.

So Ricardo / Ricciardo. If Danny Boy doesn't mind either then all good.

DEDLYWEPN 19-03-2012 09:08 PM

His old man's business is a client of mine and they all pronounce it Riccardo, whether you call reception or his dad directlly.

TheDoctor 25-03-2012 07:50 PM

Fantastic race but the Sauber boss should've stayed off the damn radio. Perez had that for the win and was in the zone. They knocked his focus or confidence or something by telling him to use caution. Great to see Alonso on the top of the podium again.

bird 25-03-2012 08:25 PM

Agreed Scott.

Do you think engine politics came into Perez going wide?

teejay 25-03-2012 08:34 PM

Seeing Peter Sauber in tears = awesome

kid 25-03-2012 08:35 PM

Yup.

Caution message -> 2 secs later o look hes gone wide....

i was fuming....a bad pit call and then that message totally robbed us of an epic ending.

TheDoctor 25-03-2012 08:45 PM
Agreed Scott.

I really hope not because I hate it when the politics gets in the way of the driving but it is pretty likely.

b32 25-03-2012 08:51 PM

I dunno, he could of just backed off without running off the track if it was politics.... He could have easily ended up in the sand trap like Maldonado in quali on the same corner.

phizzle 25-03-2012 08:51 PM

Exactly, they messed with him while he was right in the pocket.

Kind of like a taco :p

But not.

Seriously, well done to Perez. I do believe Massa has 6 calander weeks to get his ass into gear or he will find himself without a place. For his ass.

BTW: Good to see DR showing some promising points, especially in the wet.

TheDoctor 25-03-2012 09:00 PM

That's a good point actually. They still should've stayed quite on the radio though.

Yeah it's a shame about Massa. I've always really liked him. He's never been the same since that nasty accident.

SyncSubaru 26-03-2012 04:12 PM

Anybody playing the Sportal F1 Dream Team?? We can make a league if we dont have one already (Search got nothing, cbf reading all posts.)

TheDoctor 28-03-2012 09:17 AM

A good analysis from James Allen about the Perez/Alonso battle at Sapang.
http://www.jamesallenonf1.com/2012/03/how-perez-could-have-beaten-alonso-at-sepang-despite-his-mistake/

monkeee 28-03-2012 11:22 AM

Cracking race. Good to see Mark scoring some decent points, least it keeps him in touch with the leaders.

Gk_ 28-03-2012 01:03 PM

Perez will replace massa in no time i recon. His been on Ferrari rader for some time. If his in good form the next few races it will be a good look for him big time! Some interesting conspiracy about that battle on the net

Voot 28-03-2012 01:16 PM

Leave Massa in the Ferrari for the remainder of the season,

2013 Webber to replace Massa in the Ferrari,

DR to replace Webber in the Redbull

Haha not in a million years but imagine that!

BLUES 28-03-2012 02:27 PM

Massa's never recovered from Hockenheim.

RUSSGT 02-04-2012 10:56 AM

Bahrain gonna get cancelled again?

TheDoctor 02-04-2012 11:13 AM

According to this, no. However, that was from last week.

F1 bosses in show of support for Bahrain GPJames Allen on F1

TheDoctor 02-04-2012 11:15 AM

This is the latest from James Allen on the situation:

http://www.jamesallenonf1.com/2012/04/trouble-on-the-ground-in-bahrain/

Reminds me of the situation with the 1981 Springbok tour of New Zealand. Should sport and politics mix?

TheDoctor 15-04-2012 04:45 PM

That turned out to be a great race. Well done to Nico Rosberg, a well dissevered first win after 6 years and 111 races.

Master D 15-04-2012 04:49 PM

Yeah, that was a great race.
One of the best for the season :-)

DamoESP 15-04-2012 05:35 PM

Yeah was an awesome race.....wicked drive by Rosberg, bugger about Schumi.....would have been good to see him get a podium

monkeee 15-04-2012 09:14 PM

I am glad Mark is keeping in touch with the leaders. Sucks how much the RB's struggle straight line.

Where was the extra 10 points for Mark's wheelie hmm? :p

RUSSGT 16-04-2012 09:30 AM

That was a great race!! Best line ever from the comentators "i havent been this disapointed since Shreck 2". hahahahahaha

b32 18-04-2012 02:01 PM

WTF?? Fuck you CH10....

Fans angry as ONE bumps Formula One to TEN | TV Tonight
This results in the coverage airing in Standard Definition and it means viewers in South Australia and Western Australia -including Perth viewers following local lad Daniel Ricciardo- will be unable to see it Live as they have enjoyed on ONE.
TheDoctor 18-04-2012 02:21 PM

That's shit.

teejay 18-04-2012 02:26 PM

Fuck 10

But I havnt watched a race on tv in 2 seasons so they suck me off anyhow.

RUSSGT 18-04-2012 02:29 PM

Thats so gay! Almost as gay as TJ.

AIG 18-04-2012 02:38 PM

That's shit. So what's the best site to watch a live stream? (not that it will help me this weekend thanks to iinet being hopeless with reconnection)

V3 RA 18-04-2012 02:44 PM
That's shit. So what's the best site to watch a live stream? (not that it will help me this weekend thanks to iinet being hopeless with reconnection)
I've just settled for downloading the torrents after the race is done. I work Sunday nights so have no hope of watching it live anyhow.

Internet > TV!

b32 18-04-2012 02:53 PM

I might do that too, download the ad free BBC coverage and watch Mon nights, just sucks avoiding "spoilers" all day.

BLUES 18-04-2012 03:54 PM

You can normally find a live stream on Justin.TV of Sky's coverage.

Raz555 18-04-2012 03:58 PM

So mad!! I knew 10 was up to something with those ads about F1 going back to prime time.

Time to start venting on all of 10's social media sites!

BLUES 18-04-2012 04:27 PM

Is Ten still going to stream the race "live" online?

Kato 18-04-2012 04:36 PM

Perth will get a 2-3 hour delayed telecast it seems.

DamoESP 18-04-2012 06:48 PM

Yep, I am actually boycotting all Network 10 Channels until F1 is returned to ONE and is LIve in HD. Isnt too hard for me to achieve as my TV reception is dodgy and I can only ever have Network 10 or 7/9 tuned into my TV at the one time...lol so time for a retune to Channel 7.

Can always download the BBC/Sky Sports coverage the next day in HD...but too hard to avoid spoilers :(

cowboydave 19-04-2012 09:27 AM

What a bunch of assholes!
Just another reason to move east.

Gk_ 22-04-2012 09:47 AM

Daniel ricciardo starting 6th on the grid today!!! I'm impressed

DamoESP 22-04-2012 11:51 AM
Daniel ricciardo starting 6th on the grid today!!! I'm impressed
Pitty we have no way of watching it Live and in HD! Fuck Chan10!

98kellrs 22-04-2012 12:08 PM

So let me get this straight, One HD have bumped F1 live coverage to show repeats of megastructures breakdown? I thought One HD was supposed to be a free to air sports channel?!

Someone start a facebook page and get ranting ACA
