Tyre & Rim Protection SPECIAL for Perth-WRX Members
Hello all,
Just a quick introduction, I am the Business Manager at Subaru Wangara and I read the forums frequently but have only just decided to register. When reading the forums, I notice a lot of people on the forums that upgrade their wheels and tyres on their cars and spend a considerable amount of money doing so. I thought it would be a good idea to let everyone know that we have a protection cover for your tyres and rims (genuine or aftermarket). It is a 3 year protection plan that allows you to claim: • Unlimited tyre puncture repairs • 2 Tyre Replacements (up to $350 ea) per year • 1 Rim Repair/Replacement (up to $1000) per year The repair/replacement is to any tyre or rim that becomes punctured, damaged, cracked, warped or misshapen by potholes, kerbs, nails, screws, metal, glass road debris or blowouts. There is no excess to make a claim and, being separate to your motor insurance policy, it won’t affect your No Claim Bonus. The RRP cost of the protection plan is $490. However, for Perth-WRX members we will do a discounted premium of $450. Sorry for the long post, I don’t want it to sound like a sales pitch, it’s just that we have only ever offered this cover when people have taken delivery of a vehicle from us and I realised there a lot of you that may be unaware of it. It’s a really great cover that, at such a low cost, is very beneficial. If you have any questions or would like to purchase the cover, just drop me an email or give me a call at the dealership. Cheers Brett |

Do you cover damage/punctures to tyres on a track, for example AHG, or Barbagello?
And also, do you cover R-compound tyres? And if, for example, someone had 2 sets of rims and tyres (1 for track, and 1 for street) do they need 2 policies? |

To answer your questions:
The policy doesn't cover any damage to a tyre and rim as a result of racing or motor sports. The policy covers any tyre providing it is roadworthy and legal to be on your vehicle. The policy covers whatever tyre and rims that are fitted to your vehicle while it's on the road If you change them over periodically, that's fine, only 1 policy would be required. However, keep in mind the answers to your first 2 questions. Cheers Brett. |
