COD4 PS3 Question?
Is it possible to join different servers? I can only see options for a private game and the other is when you are automatically assigned to a game. I end up with huge lag when on an American server and want to connect to an Oz one. I know you can do this on a PC, not sure how to on a PS3.

Not really...
the best way to get something like is if you have 6-12 of your mates from Australia in the one game and then there's no Lag. apart from that you can only quit and join until you get a good connection. |

if ur in there alone, when you join a room ask if they are aussie.... if they dont answer chances are they are not and most probly yanks. After a while you get to know the clan tags.... if you find yourself in a game with guys sporting the M&B tag XXX, AUS or VD your pretty sweet as they are all aussies. Also if you are the first in the room then stay as the room is yours and you are the server.

I know it's a real pain generally not knowing what server you are in until the game starts. First thing i do when i start a game is check if i have green bars, if not i leave and search again.

hurrah for consoles dumbing shit down, never have a problem like this on pc. Since 1994 there has been amazing technology call server browsers and filters
Anyway i would setup a temporary firewall setting limiting your internet to Australian ip's, that could work, or might mean it cant contact the master server and not work at all... but i guess you could white list that particular ip... gawd what a pita. |
