just two days before it goes on release and im getting hyped up for it

for those not aware of the game its a cross between resident evil/silent hill in space! more event horizon than alien of course!

i just watched the movie, dead space: downfall on bluray to fill in the background to what happened before the game takes place and im glad i did.

Not very original game concept wise, but well executed.

Reviews have been pretty good for 360 and ps3 however the pc version is supposed to be a bad port from what i've heard. Probably best on the console.

Just finished playing through Dead Space on the PC.

Some very scary moments. Although some issues with the PC version. Mouse was VERY laggy, but you can fix it by turning off V-Sync. Although that's quite ghey. I usually prefer to leave V-sync on so I don't get tearing of the image on fast movements.

I also hate the player camera positioning. The character blocks up to one third of the screen.

Also, I don't like how the mouse movements slow right down when in weapon aiming mode. Have to lift the mouse up twice to do a 180 degree turn.

And finally, I don't like how you can't run when in weapon aiming mode. This is a pain in the ass considering how fast the enemies move in the later portions of the game. Running and gunning is the staple of many shooters.

Bit of whinging and whining, but if you can get over that, its still a pretty decent game.

Now onto Far Cry 2
