you have to hit the RIM of that cymbal - not the top of it... i know thats strange but thats how i find it works quiet good.... don't hit the flat part - hit the rim.

i found if i hit right in the middle of the symbol, above the sensor it worked better for me.

and also make sure you calibrate it right for your tv, cause your display and sound might be delayed

gah, i ended up buyin the rockband set. i liked the guitar better plus the set list is alot better.... for me at least, that and i wanted to play coheed & cambria + iron maiden!!!

also check the lead for the symbol is plugged in all the way.

mine stopped working, found the plug had come a little loose. would make contact some of the time but not all.

now it works great.

still ordered the tuning kit though
