so what to do when it expires? , i guess there will be or there is already hax for it?

if its good id prolly think about buying a copy but depends how much it costs , ive never paid for a windows product yet but if it is $100 or something when it comes out id prolly think about geting a legit copy.

but im sure it will be $300 or something for a good version

It's only RC1, so it is still beta software, but essentially finished bar bug fixes from the final release.

Once the final release or RTM is out, you would swap over to that. Like every other windows version out there, I'd bet my left nut there will be a crack within a month of it going gold.

good version? there all the same with extra features.

everyone seems to think vista ultimate is the best when its the same shit as basic with a couple extra features that 99% of the pop wont use!

phatskinz 06-05-2009 08:16 PM

i am suprise how smooth it runs on a little netpc i have.. i have an acer aspire one and its running so smooth! very impress....

like what the guys mention , i am sure a crack will be out very soon once the final release is out :)

I have DL'd this and we are currently starting meetings at work to begin building an SOE out out Windows7 for the entire business. I think it's much cleaner and more refined than Vista for sure.

mr_psi 06-05-2009 09:12 PM

you will find most organisations will not roll out vista and just skip to windows 7

RichX 06-05-2009 09:37 PM

Yeah, it's a trend it would appear. Always skip the second. Skipped 3.1, 95 was whoa!, NT4 was alright :) Skipped ME, went 98SE. Skipped Win2k, Went XP. Skip Vista, Going 7 ..

We've got quite a few 2008 servers popping up now and just about to begin trials of Exchange10.

Installed RC1 on the weekend, works fine, expires in June next year. I prefer it to vista and XP. Was running beta but wanted the extra expiry time.

Yeah I installed it onto my Media Centre machine that we use for most of our TV viewing (on a projector) and it was the most painless OS install I have done. Within 30 mins of formatting the drive it was fully functional.

Worth noting that those with ATI graphics cards there are drivers here http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx
Always best to use vendor drivers rather than Microsoft ones.

Edit : found good summary for features http://www.cnet.com.au/contrasting-windows-new-feature-comparison-339296412.htm
Is this version 7100?

As it has been available for 4 weeks from the torrents.

Looks like Microsoft has decided to let the public use the RC.
Most of the builds which the torrent sites have are full of trojans and malware
