homebrew allows u to run burnt discs. If you want to run off a pc HDD, u need flatmii

*cough* homebrew..

plus to PERFECTLY image Wii discs with RawDump you need a particular IDE DVD-ROM drive.. forgot the series, but its 4 models made by LG around 2004'ish?! I managed to get my hands on one thank christ, but yeah they go for a premium on ebay.. like $100+ a drive and are as rare as hens teeth.

theres a program you can get for homebrew that allows you to log on to the wii from a web browser and download whatever disc is in the wii's drive as an ISO
