Default Streaming movies to PS3

Hey, wondering what would be the best solution for me. I've got just under 1TB of movies that I want to stream to my PS3. At the moment I've got them sitting on my PC, but I don't want to have my PC on all the time. Apparently u can get a NAS for home that would do this? But I don't want to spend more than 200. Is there anything in the market that would do the job for < 200?

Have a look at things like the Iomega Home Network drives. Western Digital do the same too. Basically a cut down NAS.

I have used a WD Network drive, you need it hard wired to your PS3 due to the poor wireless speed. Good idea though.

This is true. Ive tried streaming video to the PS3 and its not as smooth as it should be. Better off with an external USB HDD to plug into the PS3 or upgrade the PS3 HDD.

Are you talking wired or wireless?

I also have just bought an Airport Express so I want to also stream music from the NAS so it rules out external hard drives. I think that Iomega will do the trick

+1 for PS3 Media Server. Also, beware of PS3 WiFi. It does not detect media servers immediately. It can take a minute or two to detect. Whereas it detects immediately when connected by LAN.

(Perhaps it is just my wireless router though....)
