Default Race Simulator setups

Thought I'd share but would be good to see what others have done. Budget or otherwise. I know some have some quite fancy setups.

Mine is budget.

Prelude car seat, MDF table, Logitech Driving Force Pro s/wheel. Fan club to the top of pic thanks to the kids. It still needs some work. Need to fix the seat to something as it moves around and need to incline the pedals.

Thinking about designing my own cockpit using Autodesk Inventor software. Need to find a desent bucket seat first.

I have a G27 so the design will suit that and/or G25.

If anyone is interested i can post updates and provide shop drawings at the end for anyone who want to build their own one.

whats a member i can use to construct it out of that easily available and cheap.

i'll take a pic for you next time i'm up at my mates, he has made up a very simple frame, rx7 seat bolted to the top, logitech wheel bolted to the top, its pretty sturdy and gives a great feel for being there but without having a monster olf a thing that is too hard to put away when he uses the room as just a lounge room

Was looking around last night as various DIY's. Found a Need for Speed shift DIY published by EA - using MDF. Also found a couple of frames using 20-25 square tube / welding....

Would be interested to see how you go.....

from GT thread

Heres my first plans from 3 years ago too (havnt started building yet), but will probably change them to be closer to Katos. Originally specced to be easy made without any bending, with maximum adjustability. We based our measurements on a 2004 wrx seat and steering wheel position lol.
