I bought this the other day, thought it was epic. Has anyone else picked this up yet and if so what did you think of it?

started playing it a few days ago on PC. I was expecting more to it, but having said that it is a nice change of game play. Graphics are decent and its good fun.

I bought this last night, and have been playing a bit this morning. Its fun, but can't see it keeping my interests for too long.

Bummer, I remember one of the first controversial trailers released for Dead Island had me hooked with the little girl dying/turning into a zombie/being bitten all in reverse to some slow music.

Like smerm said, the graphics are good and its a little different to most survival horror/RPG games.

This game is awesome, I've been playing it since release with mates, we are around level 25

I am only Level 8 currently. Mighty annoyed; after trying to down a thug I threw all my good weapons at it whilst trying to make a bit of space.. then died and lost all my upgraded weapons now have no cash and poop weapons

I am in act 2 (in some small town, at the church), level 30ish and things are pretty much the same. do a quest, help someone out etc. There isn't a lot of depth in the game. Still having fun though, but i think the first trailer hyped the game up.

I wanted it to be more Resident Evil 1-ish. I.e all about the atmosphere, but that seems pretty lacking, but still a fun game to mess around with. Just wish I hadn't gone with the firearms expert considering I haven't seen a gun yet!

Once you get into the jungle the game changes a bit and its more gun orientated and there are new types of zombies and stuff, the gameplay kinda takes a shift from hack n slash to nazi zombies, you get machine guns and all sorts of cool shit.

i'm at the church and i'm only like lvl 17
