Well its no secret that a) im a massive ford fan (awaits flaming) and b) im a bogan, so i did what what any sensitive new age bogan does and bought a black BF XR6 turbo!

Didnt really want to buy a brand new aussie car, but for the price i paid (i saved around 14K) it, it worked out better than buying a 2nd hand one in 6-8 weeks time Taking into account ORC 's etc, it also worked out cheaper than buying a new wrx by a fair whack too. This made the whole resale thing a little easier to bare!

I pick it up from Lane Ford tomorrow night if all goes to plan so i will post some pics when it gets its taxi markings

Its going to be hard stepping into a 1700kg rwd car and its hardly going to make a hills weapon, but i want a bit of a nice cruiser that can hold its own on cruises and laps of the coast During the first few months i will start looking into the suspension / tyres / handling side of things to give it a bit of a helping hand and then perhaps i shall look into the power / torque side of things....

Chee, i swore i'd NEVER go a black car again. Its getting a full treatment (not going to worry too much about dealer add ons ) from me sometime soon. That way hopefully it will always look cleaner than the wrx!

Dave, alot of XR6T owners dont seem that switched on to mods (yet). NIZPRO are making a fortune with their kits, but im sure you could do the same for cheaper. I suppose its like the days when a link and VF22 were wrx's highest pinnacle. Over time (esp with the BF- Stronger engine) im sure you will start seeing a few more mods.
