Default Yellow Sticker

Well i haven't got one as yet...touch wood. I normally drive defensively (like a grandma) although from time to time i'll give it a bit. It's a stock car with only a 3"TBE, what do you guys reckon, do my canon muffler/noisy exhaust attract the police/yellow sticker?? or does it just come down to not doing anything stupid (dragging, launching, burnouts)??

In short if its just the exhaust will the cops still pull me over....from your expirience

Lots of people have cannons .. Unless it's really noisy/annoying, cops won't really look.

Go a nice oval muffler .. Looks less dodgy and sounds better too.

I used to get a picked on quite reguarly with my wrx, and she was basically stock....... it normally depends on what you where doing (being Stupid), or who your hanging around at the time (eg on a cruise with idiots)....

normally depends on what you are doing, however it also depends on what the cop is like.

i've had friends with pretty modified cars only been cautioned after giving it a bit, however i've had friends with pretty stock cars (only exhaust) getting pulled over and canaried.

last time I got a canary, the car was idling at the lights. cop on motorbike stopped behind me listening to the 3" tbe with cannon muffler. took off veeeerrry slowly so as not to make too much noise. he pulled me over after about 50m to give me a yellow. he reckoned that his head was rattling behind my car. made me wonder what was in his head for that to happen :-0

Lady Luck has a lot to do with it....

You can always go to the pits and try to get a permit for your exhaust system?

I got a permit for many things on my car when i got my last yellow to avoid it happening again and one of the things i got the permit for my exhaust. On the permit it is stated as " 3" Turbo Back Exhaust System with Cannon Muffler 4.5" Tip " haven't had an issue with cops for my exhaust since

i dont think these days cops are too worried about exhausts..unles its redicoulsy loud, they are more concerned with ride height i think, last two times ive been pulled over i have been told im too low.

neever asked me to rev the car or mentioned my exhaust.
