the Tein hood dampers are a rip.
i have NRG hood dampers, got them for about $40-50 and love em! pretty popular internationally aswell.

both the Tein and NRG dampers are prone to surface rust.

I have the Tein ones they are showing no signs of rust and I always hose down my engine bay when washing the car.

One thing with the struts is they flex the bonnet when you pull it down, which is abit of concern with the bonnet being aluminium.

i dont have any problem with mine flexing the bonnet..
i am currently running an ebay set but once i get someone to manufacture the required brackets i will be set to sell as i have already found the best supplier for the struts.
If you have an aluminium bonnet you should have a set of struts rated to a lower pressure or you will end up with flex problems..
Once set up i will be able to source these kits for steel or aluminium bonnets no worries at all...
Also being in perth i can even fit them if required..
