Expiry dates dont mean jack for club motorsport or MC type racing. If you're doing national or state level motorsport then it may be more important.

(Btw, 6500 is for pansies - 7200 on the limiter is where its at ) On topic: I too have been looking at the Sparco Harness Bar. The only problem (other than the highly illegal bit if there are passengers in the rear) is the price! You can get a local, legal (well more legal) product made up for much less. Although, there is less bling with that option...

Harness Bars
Meridian Motorsport design and fabricate a wide range of harness bars aimed at the club racer. Many of our customers enjoy taking thier street cars out on the track for weekend club meets and require the added protection of a 4 or 6 point safety harness. Previously drivers have removed or dropped the rear seats to pick up the lower seat belt anchor points. This leaves the harness in a very low position and may be outside of the legal angle allowed by cams, as well as being well outside the suggested angle. Meridians range of Harness Bars mount on the rear parcel shelf and generally require very little if any modification to the vehicle. Some bars such as the Subaru WRX harness bar can even be left in place for everyday driving due it's unobtrusive design and mounting. For information on the range of harness bars available contact the expert Meridian Staff on 03 9553 4200

That meridian one looks pretty good, where does it mount too ? looks like the top seat belt mounts.
Tode: you need to remember that the Australia isn't part of the US yet =)

I have a TRS 4 point with eyelets welded behind the upright section of the rear seat...done by MMS...have had the same setup in my last 4 Rexes and it works very well, though you need to remove the rear seat to access them.
Whatever you do, don't mount them under the bottom section of the back seat. |
