Some differences I can recall off the top of my head include:

different wheels (17x8), different PCD (114.3), different tyres, updated interior trim & blingy dash/dials, upgraded LSD (helical not suretrac?), slightly wider track, underbody diffuser, control arms, .....

03 STi did not have DCCD.

over the 03/04, the MY05 STi got...

DCCD.

different style wheels which are 17x8 compared to 17x7.5 on previous.

1" wider track on the rear.

stiffer steering rack mounts.

aliminium rear lateral links.

larger wheel hubs and bearings, as well as PDC change from 5x100 to 5x114.

rear arch flare.

redesigned interior incl. new steering wheel, centre console and two cup holders.

Brant keypad moved from centre handbrake area to near the ignition.

and more i'm sure.
03 STi did not have DCCD.
i think they got it in the states from 03, just the settings and sensors were changed for their 05 model. this might cause some confusion..

BLUES 27-02-2007 12:57 PM

Did we get an updated quick rack steering too?

I'm sure Lewis will know - he's a Human STi Almanac ;-)
rear arch flare.
I love that. :D Easy way to tell if it's an 05 STi!

REXXX 27-02-2007 01:14 PM

oh and we can't forget that in 05 the boring Silver was replaced with Crystal Grey Metallic!
