Default Changing Bulbs

Hey guys,

Looking at changing my OEM bulbs, got a MY01/02. Had a search around the forums, couldn't find anything to answer my question.

Checked the manual, standard globes are 12V 55/60W H4's.

Obviously, i've gotta get replacement bulbs which are H4. Me not being very good at electronics, do i need to make sure the replacements are also 12V 55/60W?

Just searchin through Ebay, come across stuff like this:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-SUPER-XEN...QQcmdZViewItem

Just wondering if these be alright?

Thanks

i think is pretty much standard, find any H4 bulb and it'll work fine. you prolly wanna decide what colour temperature you want. the 8500K ones you're looking at is hell blue, might get you a yellow sticker.

Yeah, i've been looking around. I want a tinge of blue, but nothing which will attract too much attention.

It seems like, even though there are colour temperatures, different manufacturers of the globes have different standards.

A 6500k Globe from manufacturer X looks completely different from 6500k Globe from manufactuter Y. :S

Will suss it out.

the only problem with putting higher wattage globes in is they may pop more frequently because of excess heat but i never had any problems when i had them in my last car so i wouldnt worry about it, just get them, cant be any worse than yellow :s

That first link that i put up - Compare them to the ones i bought, and spot the difference. Both are H4's, but the first link doesn't look like it supports high-beam.

I've emailed the seller to ask, but have a look at both. The H4's i actually purchased defnitely looks like it does as it has the additional filament.
