Hey i just got a new clutch put in and took advantage of it a few times...1st now has a whine to it (Some bits of metal were pulled out when g box oil changed) not so much when accelerate but when you back off...

I have also had the problem of white smoke coming out of the car when its been cold (Only done it twice tho) starting to think maybe its the v/stem seals which seems to be a pain in the a** to change

I guess my question is, MY01 front cuts available in Perth ? Is this option cheaper in the long run if i nab up a g box and motor at the same time? Whats a pretty reasonable place to get front cuts etc etc ?

dont worry about a little white smoke when its cold. Its probably just a little condensation burning off inside the exhaust as the engine warms up. Does your car uses excessive amounts of oil?

As for the gearbox... 6MT conversion FTW!

I'm going for stock replacements as the wallet doesn't allow for EJ207 or 6MT

White smoke has been happening on a few cruises, and when i have gone to fill up on fuel at which time its surely not still cold?

It has used a bit of oil in the past (Due to rear main leaking heavily) But that has been fixed since.

My mechanic has said either V Stem Seals or Turbo, but they need to look at the car to know for 100%.
