Default 17s on super low GF8

just wondering how well a set of 17s fitted with 225/45R17 will fit on a GF8 hatch fitted with kings super lows?
Rim details are as follows;
Diameter: 17in
Width: 7in
Studs: 5
PCD: 100
Offset: +48

will there be scrubbing etc and would i need to roll the inside of the guards?
currently fitted with 205/45R16 with no worries

They will be fine on that offset but I would recommend using 7inch wide rims with a 215 wide tyre. Otherwise you'll almost definitely have scrubbing. Even then you may still need to roll the guard lips.

Its the wagon of the GC8. I had 215/40 R17's on my GF8 with the same size rim with no scrubbing. 225/40's apparently do cause rubbing on the rear strut on the wagon's, though i have not experienced this myself, so i couldn't confirm it.

i know someone on this forum ran 17" bug eye wrx rims on a my98 hatch with king super lows. Not sure on the tyre width tho. What ever they come with standard I would assume? 215\225?

No Problem's anyway.

Standard on the 17x7's is 215/45, and on the 17x7.5's is 225/40 (sti wheels). I currently have 215/45's on sti wheels on my wagon and get very minor scrubbing at the front, when i had 215 tyres on bugeye wheels on the car i had no scrubbing at all.

i had 02 sti wheels which are the same size on my gf8. With 225/45/17 tyres the rear tyres rubbed on the strut

215/40/17 was good
