its not bad looking it just doesnt deserve the "wrx" or "sti" name. If subaru wanted to create a turbo hatch to compete with the likes of the ford focus, peagout, etc then the should of started a new model, not used the wrx or sti name, kept the wrx seperate and continue to make em the way they have always made them, In doing what theyve done they have totally ruined the wrx and sti name. why they couldnt make a new range i dont know, instead of ruining a classic series of cars.

I hope this car is a failure just for these reasons alone, so suabru realised they never should of changed the design. my 2c.

only resemblance is the bonnet scoop. apart from that, it looks nothing like a Liberty, more like a Lanos/Mazda 3

Well lets face facts, the wrx has never been hot right out of the box. Think about how the arrive - restrictive exhaust and looking like a 4wd. It's only after you drop them, change the zorst and wheels, reflash that we start drooling.

I guarantee you that if the weight vs power is right on the new wrx there will be plenty of buyers. Not my cup of tea as far as hatch goes but it may open up a whole new market of wrx owners. My guess is that Subaru have a pretty good idea of what they are trying to achieve with the MY08 WRX.
