2008 WRX Hatch Real Pics
 

nasioc member managed to take some pics of the MY08 WRX in the flesh..have a look.

doesnt look too bad... the chrome on the back needs to go, but over all it looks pretty decent. I wonder if it will vary much from the ADM WRX.

yep ditch the chrome and the altezzas, dump it and then maybe it starts to look well ok.

heaps better with that grille, still waiting for STi though..

Looks a little better than what I thought. I understand that the sedan's won't be here till early to mid 2009, helps with resale on current cars especially the STi sedans.

Right On!!!!! That car is not worthy of the WRX / STi badging.

If they want to appeal to a bigger market bring out a new model..... dont go spoiling an icon / legend.

not a fan just yet. The front's okay but you cant chop it in half and do something decent with the rear. What a waste, Subaru had a chance to produce something special and this is what they came up with. :love9:

its not bad looking it just doesnt deserve the "wrx" or "sti" name. If subaru wanted to create a turbo hatch to compete with the likes of the ford focus, peagout, etc then the should of started a new model, not used the wrx or sti name, kept the wrx seperate and continue to make em the way they have always made them, In doing what theyve done they have totally ruined the wrx and sti name. why they couldnt make a new range i dont know, instead of ruining a classic series of cars.

I hope this car is a failure just for these reasons alone, so suabru realised they never should of changed the design. my 2c.

only resemblance is the bonnet scoop. apart from that, it looks nothing like a Liberty, more like a Lanos/Mazda 3

Well lets face facts, the wrx has never been hot right out of the box. Think about how the arrive - restrictive exhaust and looking like a 4wd. It's only after you drop them, change the zorst and wheels, reflash that we start drooling.

I guarantee you that if the weight vs power is right on the new wrx there will be plenty of buyers. Not my cup of tea as far as hatch goes but it may open up a whole new market of wrx owners. My guess is that Subaru have a pretty good idea of what they are trying to achieve with the MY08 WRX.

The rear number plate location made the rear looks sux. Move it to the bottom would be better.
Tailights looks shiet as well :mad:

If Subaru can make it look like that (specifically the red tailights - rims can be done aftermarket obviously) i will seriously consider one. But definatley not while those tailights are the white shitters!

PS the chop is based on the NA entry level hatch. Couldnt find a pic of the WRX. Only difference from the rear really would be the diffuser type set-up on the rear apron.

i am also waiting to see what the STi looks like.

i saw the new copy of wheels last night and it has the new wrx on it and talks about 3 diferent versions , the one we have seen with the mazda look alike back end , the sedan that is to only be released in USA and the 3rd version being the STi ... i hope it looks mean
