personally you will get more gains for your money getting an ECUtek done on it and you will keep your warranty, they will not know the difference

The 06's will be launched when we're looking. Might not get our first colour choice, but we should be able to pick up a bargain (here's hoping).

Don't get sucked in by the Mr Nice Guy dealer act. They are all out to make money, so shop all the dealers untill you get the best deal.

Mandurah is very competitive (Less overheads I think)

Good Luck!

Dragging up an old thread!

I was just wondering if anyone on this forum has gone with the factory ECU upgrade for an 03/05 WRX from Subaru? I believe the package is what was delivered with the WRP10.

If the factory upgrade ECU was fitted along with a 3 inch exhaust to your normal WRX would a retune be required or would the factory ECU compliment the 3 inch exhaust system?

Also does anyone know what the ECU alone is worth. Subaru offer the package for $2500. But this inlcudes STi exhaust components!

Cheers

Just look at getting a verso tune and zorst after market, it should set you back less and the improvement will be 10 times better.

The big draw was retaining the factory warranty, which is important to us. If a new car warranty wasn't one of the selling points, I'd be out looking for an STI coupe instead
