Worth having a look if you are open to the change, if not go with what you want. It's my job to pimp out the Evo

Being Mitsu yeah

The press release says the Evo IX will be here for sale from the 18th of Sept 2005. As in two weeks. Before the 06 STI. It will be within $100 of the STI price as well.

But as said being mitsu, it could be anytime.

Evo hatch... no.

They are being made in limited numbers for the Jap market only. Figures I have heard are from 200-500 total made.

You'd have to import.

I've always been a huge fan of the EVO, and it's certainly wavering in front of my face calling me. It is interesting though, as thx pointed out, how the EVO IX has drastically dropped in price (to a large extent at that) - now that's something to think about.

I will post back in a few hours, after my test drive - i am very excited about this! He should be here any minute...

I would rather have a 2.5 STi than a Mits. The 2.5's have started to arrive...

Just got back, wow. I am totally in awe. Having never driven a Subaru, this was a first for me, and boy, my heart is still thumping.
I didn't really get to punch it, but i was going around Reid Hwy & Morley, and it felt damn good. The harshness i'd heard about was not there at all, im sure it had a lot to do with the tyres (not Potenza's), but i thoroughly enjoyed every part of the ride. And when the boost came on.....let's just say im still smiling about that rush. Lag was noticeable, but i'm not complaining.

It was used though, White with 47,000km. I want white, but there's only CGM, WRB, OBP & Silver available across the country. I think he said there're about 10 or so left.

Oh, and he says the 2006 STi will be a 2.5
