Default holy crap! suspension!

well just took the rear wheels off the subi i brought about a month ago.

had a strange vibration, especially under braking, so decided to have a sticky beak at the wheels.

The vibration had been present since i brought the car and i thought it was just the ABS (since ive never owned a car with ABS before). However a mate convinced me to have a look anyway. lucky we did.

found that that the rear left suspension was being held on by 2 bolts as normal, however the lower nut wasnt tight, and the top bolt didnt even have a nut!

Pic

so long story short, mobile mechanic okayed using a smaller bolt as a stop gap, and ill be visiting the dealer in the morning with a 'please repair'.

also being a keyboard warrior, posting this here is a obvious place to vent my fustrations and annoyance at how easily i could have been killed. as im guessing loosing suspension at 100km/h on the freeway would not be fun.
