Default MY04 WRX Outside Temperature Reading!

Hey Guys

I was just wondering where the temperature reading is taken from, that you see on your dash in, I presume from MY01/07 WRX's ? & What's the lowest Temp reading people have seen on their cars?

Cheers

its taken from the little black thin in the middle of the dash behind the clock I think?

I don't take much notice of it, so no idea how low i have seen it, probably close to 2 degrees

I think there is a (or 2) sensor in the engine bay for outside temp. Pretty sure it's in the handbook where they are. Think there are 3 all up, 1 inside, 2 outside??? When the radio says it's 14 for example, my gauge says 16. It's always been 2 degrees over what they say on the radio. Lowest I've seen is 4 degrees and that was going through fog so thick I had about 60m of visibility on my way up the Brand Highway. Pretty scary waiting for a road train coming the other way.

It comes from inside the front bar, there is an ambient temperature sensor there.
