Default Dent in Bumper

Hi All,

Got a small dent dent in my rear bumper. I've done a search and phoned the most recommended dent removal guy (Stuart from Dent Craft) - but they only work on metal panels. Obviously the rear bumper is plastic.

Soooo.. does anyone know where I can get the dent removed from a plastic rear bumper. The dent is really small - but annoying. I don't mind paying for quality work either, I like my car to look its best

Cheers
Zombee

Try Martin from Dent Masters, 0417 907 717

He fixed a few on my 06 courtesy of my three year old opening the other car door, Martin did a great job for reasonable coin.

Cheers mate, do you know if they do plastic bumpers - seems a few of the dent removal guys only do metal panels, like doors, bonnets etc..

Cheers

if its in the plastic bumper. heat it up slowly with a hair dryer and push it out from behind using your fingers.

Disclaimer: I take no responsibility if you damage your bumper. But this trick has worked for me on previous occasions

Like he said.....it's not hard to do and if it's only a small dent it should come out fine....just takes a little patience. If paint isn't cracked from the impact it shouldn't crack when you massaige the ding out.

It works. But you have to take your time heating up them bumper and paint. If you rush it, the paint wont flex with the bumper as you push it out and it may crack and flake off.

even if you heat it up it can still crack depends on paint and size of dent.

I've also had some success using a hot-air gun and massaging the dent out by hand. In my case the paint was already cracked from the impact, and needs a respray regardless. But I did manage to get the dent out completely, without the paint flaking off.

Works best on a warm/hot day.
