I have a Chinese cheapie and magnets will not stick at all to the pipe, but they stick to the flanges. I'm satisfied it wont go rusty while I own it.

Simon, ring Ford and ask for a replacement Garrett GT35/40 (standard turbo for XR6T and F6)...... When i was buying my car i priced up a new engine / turbo (was thinking dumping it into a Capri) and the cost was over 4K for the turbo alone.

There is not a turbo around that is worth more than $2500 apart from the ones with billet custom center sections or the ceramic or inconel ball bearing Turbonetic units. Everything else is just overpriced wank

When I worked for toyota I got almost cost price on quite a few factory parts.... Kluger mudflaps retail $185 or something... I paid I think $45 for them.

Kluger Grande Retail $62 something plus ondroads.... I paid $49,000 onroad.

Yes but when it comes down to it, even if it doesn't last as long as an $1800 exhaust, you could still buy three china's for the price of one

As most have said, the exhaust isn't exactly a critical piece in the car that will cause integrity issues if it degrades.
