About the liberty motor, isnt that only going to be for the Jap spec WRXs as theyr'e using the 2.0l engine? From what i understand, we'll keep the same 2.5 that was use in the pig. No?

slow ass wrong words, mild state of tune would probably be better...

brakes, we will see when they get here.....but I do think that is the way the WRX is heading, soft.

sorry matt, attached to that motor or something? : P

has screenshots from the japan sti site...
looking better, but still far from good.
hopefully this is just a rex 'tuned by sti'
or sti parks fitted

edit: had another look,
says sports parts for impreza on the bonet.

The JDM Version 5 to Version 7 WRXs all had 2 piston fronts, these were upgraded for OZ/UK/EU to 4 pot fronts and the Oz bugeyes got 2 pot rears as well.

No reason to think that they wouldn't upgrade the Oz bound 08s..

JDM doesn't always get the all the goodies!

Two pots were only on the WRXs up to Ver 4. After that they went to 4 Pot front one pot rear and at V7 they upgraded the rears to two pots also.

True for Australia.

Japan however had the 2 pots (and 16 inch rims) until at least the MY02 update. This was all on the Japanese website when the cars were new.
Have a look at Brian Longs 'Subaru Impreza' softcover book.

Which brings me back to my original point. The export cars reflect the needs of their export market. SA actually have a pretty decent handle on what their customers want.
