Not always. Mainshaft, 2nd gear, 1 x gasket, 1 x tube of threebond and someone who knows what they're doing.
Early boxes are probably not worth fixing but a 2001 may be. Sometimes the mainshaft survives and it's just a missing tooth on the driven side.

dude ive busted more than my fair share (7 from memory) and know what they cost & whats involved to fix them, but thanks for clarifying...

Give Maximum Motorsport a call... 9249 7444....tghey may have something or be able to repair it.
I take it that this is the result of the wheel alignment fiasco?

bought mine $2k from ASG with installation and your choice of oil...very happy with the box, no problems what so ever thus far!

hey i got my old 5 speed box out of my 03 wrx, if ur interested, put a 6 speed in it so yea.
