Default Quite performance exhausts

Is there such thing as a quite performance exhaust? My neighbor complained the other week that my car is wakening her kids at 4am in the morning. At the moment its running a TBE with high flow cat and cannon rear on a 89 ej20t powered liberty wagon. Any suggestions? Other than shoving a silencer in the cannon? I was thinking of a stock my99 wrx rear muffler, because it looks like it would tuck away nicely under the bumper, but does that mean i'll lose flow with a stock muffler?

I'm guessing you mean quiet?

My magnaflow system is quieter then most canon systems. Still has a deep note though so my still wake kids. Doesn't drone though while cruising around.

Get a proper twin tip oval muffler and it should quieten things down alot without losing any performance. It should still sound good too when you give it some stick

If you put on a OEM my99 muffler it will sound crap and be much more restrictive.

Yeah buddy fust forget all about, muffler pipe diameter, resonators, baffling and flow design. They have nothing to do with sound it’s all in the tip design!

So, for example, a magnaflow muffler with a single tip, and the same muffler but with the optional twin tips, will sound completely different????

No wonder STi's have single tip and normal WRXs have two....the single tip is good for another 30HP!!

Is your driveway on a slight hill, if so just roll down the hill onto the road then start it and drive off.
