Default Rally Deutchland

Just an interesting observation from the latest running of Rally Deutschland.

Only Solberg is left in the factory car. In the top 35 there is only one other subaru. Maybe its days as a super effective group n weapon are coming to an end.

Obviously there are some reasons for this. This rally is bitumen so suddenly the lightweight FWD and Super 2000 cars become competitive but still. I thought it was a pretty poor show.

But isn't Atkinson still 15th overall?

His name isn't in the 'retirements' list

He ripped a front right hand wheel off on one of the first stages of the last day. No super rally rules for you my son. He was going quick when he was going though.

atkinson was in for a good 5th position, but yes suffered damage at the start of the last day. He's still listed in some results because the usual system is 5minute penalty ontop of the fastest times for each stage..

I don't know how you got 5th? He was starting 10th on the last day

Yes he was very fast, but a Spin in Day one basicly ended his Rally. All i can say is Watch Atkinson in New Zealand and Japan, he will be extremly fast!

Yes good point, I had meant top 5 fastest stage times throughout the event including fastest on a stage.
