Question A few questions

hey guys
have a few questions from a person who doesnt know what hes doing at the best of times

I plan to upgrade my intercooler from the stock wrx one, still going to go with a TMIC though, would the car need a re-tune afterwards or is it just a simple swap over?

Going to do an oil change this weekend which Mobil 1 oil would be best? (02 WRX with 3" TBE & verso) I mean as in 5-50w or 10-30w or ....... ?

If some of you read some of my previous posts, you might be aware that I need to replace my alarm module as its screwed. Ive decided to go with the stock alarm system for now. I was wondering, does the alarm module need to be encoded, or can I just buy the module from Subaru and fit it myself?

Intercooler - Ideally should be retuned after but you can drive fine without

Oil - i myself use 5w30 especially in winter, in hot summer you can go 10w40 or whatever for the thicker oil in hot weather

Dunno bout the alarm thing sorry id get rid of the brant though if i were you, save yourself future headaches haha

You can do the install on tmic but you wont get the true benefits of it without a tune I believe. Motul or Redline 5W-30 would be the go I reckon but Mobil 1 will be less expensive.

ah ok.
I cant find the quote sheet at the moment, but if I remember correctly, I think it was around $330, fitted. Or that might have been with the siren being replaced. (which is fucked too I might add)

Yeah, I suspected that might be the case, but it was more of a case of wanting to seperate 2 big expenses. I plan to upgrade my turbo, but thought if I can do the intercooler a little before hand, and leave the tune until I get the turbo put in, it might make it easier for myself.

I have to admit though, I do like the keypad, so yeah.

but i hear what your saying, probably might be best if I shop around for alarm systems around the same value, see what I can come up with.
