Default Advantage/Disadvantage 2.0, 2.2, 2.5L?

Im currently building a motor at the moment, car in the workshop all stripped apart. I built a Ej257 with forged pistons an rods but a rod bolt snapped and it all turned to shit.
So im either going to build a 2.2L or a 2.5L motor. 2.2 will prob be a stroked ej20
What are the advantages and disadvantages of each???
What would you do?

Thanks in advance
