Default Going over the pits with 19"s

Hi all,

My car arrives from sydney next week and its got to go over
the pits being and interstate purchase.
(even though is brand new)

Anyway subaru fitted 19" rims for me and was wondering if anyone
has taken their car over the pits with 19"s and if so were there any
dramas or were they cool about it?

Its also lowered 35-40mm.

Hope they pass it

Wayne

hey all depends on your standard wheel size if you have 17in standard you are allowed 2in larger or smaller. with the lowering as long as you have a 100mm from your lowest point on the car to the ground you will be fine

Ummm rim sizes are only allowable 2 sizes above stock. Therefore a MY07 comes out with 17" 's would mean 19" 's would be fine. However, if someone could calrify this i'd be much appreciative.

this 2 inches is not true. You are allowed to upsize your rims as much as you want, as long as you don't change the rolling diameter. Ie: If you have 17's with 50 profile, you can go to 19's with 35 profile, or even 30. It just depends on rolling diameter. Usually tho, this means a 2" size increase, unless you run licorice stick tyres

Yep as long as you don't vary too much from the overall rolling diametre its fine, BUT ensure the load ratings on the tyre are legal.

Sounds good so far, the tyres are Falken FK452 in a 225/35ZR19
so diameter size is ok.

Load rating is 87Y XL, is this ok?

If the car is brand new and the dealer has fitted those items you shouldn't have a problem, i doubt they'll even go over it in any detail.

i doubt you'll have a drama, they will probably have a quick look over it, take it for a thrash and give it back to you!!!
