After some facts, do the below intakes make any real difference or are they just wank factor.

Would appreciate feedback from folk who have actually done this mod, and yes I did a quick search!!!, just for you "have you done a search" nazi's

yes they are better as you get better flow over standard intake pipes and they are usually slightly larger diameter!!

one of the better mods to do.... increases flow because the design is smoother than the standard one....well worth the $$$

once you remove your old one and put it up against your new silicone one the diff is huge. The standard one closes right up at the 90 Deg bend the silicone one flows heaps more.

It will make a good difference provided you go for a quality one. Some of the cheap china ones you get on ebay dont have enough re-inforcing and may suck in when the turbo is at full noise which causes it to actually flow less than the OEM pipe.

The story that RT gave me was that it gave bugger all extra hp but somewhere in the region of another 20nm of torque.

I had mine installed when we did a heap of other stuff so I dont know exactly the difference.

Cheers

I installed mine myself at the same time as the billet fuel rails so had the manifold already off but yeah they can be tricky not much room to play with and a set of small hands would come in handy. Not designed for big Aussie hands!!
So combine it with another mod and do it all at the same time is my advice.
