Wai, dont let them wash your car if you get it serviced at citysubaru.
I had my 100k km service done there and my bonnet had a nice chip after they cleaned it. Looked like the pressure cleaner pulled the paint off. They also drove my car 7kms (wonder how hard?). They charge $85 for mobil 1 oil for engine and dont give you the extra 0.5 litres left in the 5 litre bottle. They oil your dash so you get crazy glare on sunny days. Just a heads up pal. |
i got my sti yesterday! monday
|

|
i got my sti yesterday! monday
congrats, wai.

Whats to say u don't end up getting other's .5 left overs for your $85? |

yeah everythings legal. You will be right, drive reasonably sensibly (fair bit of brake dust on ya rims dude ;) ) and you will have minimal troubles from the fuzz.
|
yeah was gunna say, thats a fair amount of brake dust already o_0
also, shoulda got your plates with white text on black, slimline |
Congrats....definitely look the goods in the flesh. Love the bonnet lines to the pig nose very nice.
|
Awesome Wai, it looks sensational.
|
Need to drop it an inch or so bro, be very interested to see what these things look like in the flesh now.
|
Looks sweet as man!!... I saw a silver/grey one at BP today on Orrong rd... Looks heaps good in real life!! :D

Hi Wai or RexcellentSTI
Do you guys if I ask how much did you guys pay for your STI? The reason I asked is because I offered $60k for the car they knock me back and they said that they can't discount the STI at all. |

Tuna
How much do you think is a fair price for the STI than? |
RRP + include the standard 'freebie' extras.
try to haggle too much, then you should probably just buy a wrx instead. |
Tuna
The RRP for STI is $56990, stamp duty $3704.35, Dealer Delivery $2000 & 12mths rego $550 Total $63244.55 Base on the price I thought that $60k would be a fair price to offer for the STI obviously not in this case. :confused3 |
everyone wants something for nothing.
dealers make f/all markup on new cars, they make their money in servicing, just think of their starving childeren when you buy a car next time  |
np Tuna.
:) |
I hate to say it ... but the EVO 9 all the way if i was buying.
|
Hey Polarbear666
I like the Evo9 too. If I can't get a good price for the STI than I will look at buying the Evo9 at $61500 driveaway. Because I can't justify at paying full RRP for the vehicle. :) |
yeah was gunna say, thats a fair amount of brake dust already o_0
No kidding! I accumulated a lot of dust on my 05 STi in the first two days, but not as much as that. Looks good anyway, wai. Enjoy it :) |
I think EVO 9 for car modders is definitely the better choice.... standard front mount, no stupid pipe length issues..... stronger block...... better turbo with twin scroll setup.. MIVEC...... Better than AVCS??? ..... meaner looks... AYC....
I think its the best of the breed rather than being a bunch of subaru parts in a heavy shell and a 2.5 increase to make up for it. They really should have just brought back the 2 door classic shape wrx with a version 8 sti motor.... we all know classic is the business. |

Suppose it might be like my issues with BP... Fuel goes up and while its only another $5-$10 a tank, the whole BP / greed thing, REALLY annoys me :D |
Not to mention that Ultimate 98 is the dirtiest, shittiest fuel I've ever seen.....thats going by the amount of shit I found on the bottom of an 05 STi fuel tank, which has only been in the country for a few months, and it was purely run on U98..

So what do you use instead? |
dont think u can get a evo 9 at tht price.
i knw the guys from mitsu...no discount. cant see it going below 63k drive away
Mate picked up his Evo 9 with the Bilsten/BBS pack last week for a little over 64K driveaway. So if you leave the Bilstein pack off, I can't see that 61K is not reasonable |
So what do you use instead?
I'm sure Joe uses a newly developed combustable, yeast based, "clean" fuel alternative. |

please explain |
probably went to a shit petrol station.
|
please explain
Seconded. What else is there to use on an 05 STi.... |
Seconded.
What else is there to use on an 05 STi....
Thirded. BP Ultimate is all the SSS got fed before the new engine, and it's all it'll get fed in a fortnight when it's tearing up blacktop again. Mind you, my choices out here are bloody limited :| |
