Default MY05 sedan - Towbar?

I need to get a towbar for a bike rack on my car, but have been told that the fact i have a 4" tip on the end of the exhast means they won't be able to fit one?

Anyone here got a towbar and a larger diameter tip? If so where did you get it installed?

Cheers

Yeah i never thought there would be an issue, but is there a piece of metal under the back of the car that the tow bar itself is attached to that is close to the exhaust?

Is it possible for someone to post a photo of the underside of the car where the tow bar is attached to so?

The towbar is mounted where the rear bumper bolts onto the chassis, loosing the rear tow loop as well. I have the Subaru tow bar which is the square hitch bar. Anyway my 4" tip on the exhaust actually presses on the tow bar, nothing a piece of silicon hose jammed between to stop the rattling. Mind you my 4" tip is off center to the muffler so I am able to mount the tow bar without any problems.

I suspect if your 4" tip is central to your muffler then you'll probably have a problem getting the towbar on or your rear muffler!

If you need a picture PM me.

Nick
