I remember the "Good old days" (kings park and Scabz) 10+ yrs back
They would put sticker sideways and razorblade it so you cant rip it off and straiten it

The pits have nothing to do with police now. Its D.P.I so i doubt the guy at the pits would care

Thats a real bummer mate..I found that the O'conner inspection center was the best. It was actually rather quick and the guy i had wasn't really picky.

A little FYI

If they put the sticker on sideways, you are within your rights to put it straight. The law states you are not permitted to remove the sticker, not move it

Best way ive found, is prepare for the worst. If youve got lots of mods. Swap as many of the obvious ones as you can. And be polite when they tell you this and that needs changing. Your up shit creek, no point making the mans job any harder than it already is.

If you go in there with a good attitude, and chat to them about what they want when you change it (ive gotten away with no cam covers before, just a backing plate). Be specific about what they want to see when you change it. And you will be ok.

Ive passed with no compliance plates, and almost got away with 4 seatbelts in a 5 seater car. All from making a bit of smalltalk with the inspector

Totally incorrect, they only check you for the things they list on any re-inspection.

P.S do not go to Midland unless you also enjoy being fisted anally by a large handed man wearing razor blade encrusted knuckle dusters with no lube.

P.P.S dont whinge if they belt your car... if they come back and have enjoyed it you may find they are much more likely to be lenient.

was told by a cop the more sidways the sticker it means the less time you have to drive the car on the road for other cops to know, complete sidways means its a "red" sticker which happened to my mate

Umm they check the items on the list of defections yes, but if they happen to spot anything else (such as obvious ones like failure to secure pod, oil leak, exsessuive exhaust noise) you are rooted if they want to be picky about it.

I've had a sticker put on almost sideways once, and the guys at the pits didn't do anything differently to the 3 previous times I'd been there.
