Cheers for all the advice guys fingers crossed. tuner is all booked till jan sometime brett so hopefully they just miss the screamer. ping me for the tint ya reckon aswell?? or can you remember wat grade it is?

I got a yellow for my neons and the cop added a whole heap of other things to the list including tint. I actually had 38 grade fitted to my car and when i went over the pits the inspector measured it and it read at 25%, He was actually quite suprised at that as the tint didnt look too dark. He would have let it go the only reason why he measured it was because it was on the yellow.

Some tint places have meters so you should be able to just go around and get them to meter it for you, if not, i took my car to the pits and got them to meter it there before i got new tint fitted, i didnt have to line up i just went at 4:30 when they were closing and there was no cars there.

considering a vast majority of cars now come out with privacy glass on the rear windows you should only have to remove the front door tinting to pass the pits requirements.

^^^ When i spoke to the guy at the pits he said if it didnt came out of the factory with the rear windows tinted and the tint on there is illegal they can make u rip it off.

I second that going with the inspector for the drive.
I asked the question when I had a yellow once and he was more then happy to have me in the car, gave it a bit but didnt thrash it.

No drama's.

Just got back from the pits, i tidy'd a few bits up before i went n all the rest of that but decided not to bother fixing everything as i would most likely have to go back a second time. time was also a factor. got pinged for my tint n blow off valve(had already put the parcell shelf brake light in). no mention of the screamer, yay, or external wastgate. although he might have not noticed the wastegate n probably just thought it was part of the blow off valve noise. booooooo for tint havin to come off
