Ummm its hard to say mate. You win some, you lose some. The level of modding on that 300zx could of been anywhere from a simple TBE to internals and/or massive snails. Theres no point getting down on it because the fact of the matter is if you spent $30k on an engine, in any car, chances are you'd also chop lots of people.

There are at least 3 different Zed's in Perth with over 500 at the wheels...

Where WRX's really win over Zeds-

Zed .. water leak - motor out.
replace a hose - motor out
turbo issue - motor out
pretty much anything = motor out, they are a prick of a car to work on!
