The brant should be fine as the newer models like yours have a back-up battery. You will no doubt lose your stereo settings though.

Should be ok - MY04 radio has no pin so guess MY 05 similar, will have to reprogram stations.

Havent had a Brant issue when the wife has flattened her battery a few times.

managed to get what i needed to do without disconnecting the battery.

on the forum im a mod on they say you can apparently get some kind of battery to put in your cig lighter, leave the car on accessories and it will maintain it. might look into it.

To maintain settings in car radio, stereo etc:
hook up a 9 volt dry cell battery as in smoke alarms or similar to you cig lighter and plug in immediately after disconnecting the car battery.
(Positive to positive).
If the items cannot retain memory even for a fraction of a second, rig up 12v instead of 9v, plug in the cig lighter connection and then disconnect the car battery very fast, or better, put in a diode to stop the car battery pushing current into the dry cell.
