Default Brant issue

Hey guys got a strange issue here :S

2002 bug eye WRX

Okay so today at about 2 i start my car reverse it down my drive way, and i reposition my car so its in the middle of the garage for a carwash. Washing my car while having the keys in the ignition for music. So after about 1 hour (would be 3 in the arvo or so) tops maybe, i finnish washing my car and wanted to move my car again, but this time my car wont start. My battery was flat, (battery been drained twice probably on the verge of giving up) so i purchased a new battery at about 4 and got it fitted by 4.30.

But now everytime i put my keys in it doesnt even require my code it just starts automatically. Keypad wont even light up. Is it in vallant mode if so how do i put it back to normal, And when i do will i need my master code. car wont start for 2 hours tops for additional info and also i can still lock my car and my stereo still works and head lights. Just wont start so battery not exactly drained.

Any help would be appreciated.

If it is in valet mode you'll need to start and turn it off 10 times I think. Maybe it's 8 I don't know exactly, can't remember what it was after the verso tune got done. If it returns to normal after that all is good.

if its in valet mode when you start it check if any numbers light up on the key pad as you only get nine starts on valet so every time you start it the numbers should go down in theory , mine does .

Your Brant is most likely in Sleep Mode.
To wake the system.
Disconnect the battery.
Turn the ignition to on.
Reconnect the battery.
press any button to wake the system from sleep mode.

hey everybody thanks for the replies much appreciated..

Anyway today my keypad finally woke up.. and you know what???

Didnt accept my pincode, unexpected but prepared. Had my master code ready for it, and now i can drive the car. However probably need to pay the subaru blokes to reset my code unless anybody else knows how to do it??

Rather than start another Brant thread ill hijack this one.......
Anyone had this problem
Tried to start car in town this morning
Couldnt disable Brant
Three of the numbered keys where dead
no light no chirp nothing
tried numerous times to start
ended up walking to dealership for help
went back with another keypad
the brant was now ok and all lights lit and it started
dealer recomended replacing the keypad asap for the estimated cost of $50 (not fitted)

Another Brant Problem...

Sometimes the brant will cut the engine randomly while driving... = fun...

also, ever since I got my windows tinted, and I think the guys put the car in valet mode, it only requires a pin code from time to time... totally random... the rest of the time it starts without asking...

I think it needs to go back to Subaru!
